Delays, Delays, Delays... |
The new e.p./dvd is proving to be a bit to ambitious at this point. We are about 75% done the recording portion, and the video is pretty much ready to go, however 308 Productions has been tied up with the latest Worn Records artist Earlstown Winter. Although we've been hopeful of having this in our hands before Christmas, we are realistically looking at a 2007 release date at this point. A title and artwork still have to be decided on, and rather than rushing to get this out before the new year, we believe we will get much better results if we use the rest of this year to rap it up and get it out for early 2007.
There are couple new pictures from the bands last show at the Pic Pub posted in the Images section.

Recording Update |
So far the recording of our new e.p. has been going pretty good. Only a few setbacks which is to be expected. We still have a few more guitars to record and vocals. It doesn't look as though it's going to be completed as soon as originally planned, but some things are worth waiting for. We are looking at combining this e.p. with the dvd we have been working on and releasing them as a set. Nothing has been finalized yet as we are waiting to see how everything turns out. We are documenting the recording process as well, so look for a short "making of" video blog to accompany the e.p./dvd set when we get it done. Also, we still have not titled the new e.p., so if anyone has any album title ideas or even album cover ideas let us know and we will be sure to compensate who's ever idea we chose to use. Submit you ideas to:
theassassination@wornrecords.ca
or leave them as a comment on this blog post. Stay tuned for more updates soon.

Back to The Pic Pub! |
The Assassination Will be performing yet again at The Pic Pub in Vancouver on Thursday October 26th. After a ballsy showing a few weeks ago following a long summer lay off, The Assassination are looking forward to this repeat performance. With three new songs, the set flowed better than ever and should be nothing less than spectacular on the 26th. Details for the show will be posted this week.
Recording for the upcoming e.p. is scheduled to begin next weekend, and will feature the three new songs mentioned above, and three others including a cover, and a live track. Check back for updates on the recording.
Happy Thanksgiving Canada! |

| Prepare yourself. Angst filled lyrics with back breaking guitars and bone crushing drums, this blend of garage rock & punk stays true to it's name, it's an assassination on rock. |
